Who Are WE?

HI, My name is Marine, and I was born and raised in Normandy, France. I have worked as a writer, producer, director, and editor on narrative short films in Canada, France, and the United States. I was recently selected for the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s 10-10-10 Competition as the director of A Cure for Humanity, written by Naia Bennitt. My work explores individuals’ relationships with themselves and how those inner dynamics shape their connections with others, which is why I am excited to produce Fond Farewell alongside the team.

Hey my name is Tristan Fleming and I’m from Santa Barbara, California. I’ve been acting pretty much my whole life and love creating. This project means a lot because it’s my first time ever writing something. It’s such a personal and intimate project that has been such a pleasure to be apart of in every facet.

Hello my name is Logan Surber, I grew up in Santa Barbara and I have been studying film production for 3 years and recently transferred to CSUN to further my studies in this field. Typically I work in the cam department but this is my first major project that I have been the DP for. I have been looking forward to working on this project due to the themes of how peoples connections affect their personal lives/decisions being a part of most of the personal projects I have made. I am excited to work with this crew and to utilize the unique effect of having 2 DPs to further contrast the scenes in this story!
Hello! My Name is Iris “Sunny” Gonzalez. I am a Script Writer and the Art Director for Fond Farewell. I have worked in film for the last 4 years in Santa Barbara, California and have just recently moved to Los Angeles to pursue my screenwriting career. This project really excites me as a filmmaker because it goes into a lot of emotional depth into a relationship which I had a lot of fun writing, and am excited to create the world around these characters for them to develop in!

Hi, My name is Seth Manso. I’m Production Coordinator for Fond Farewell. I’ve lived in Santa Barbara for the last four years and have dived more into film within the last year. I’m super excited to be working with a great team helmed by Quentin Smith. The script really spoke to me and I’m excited to do all I can to help bring Tristan and Sunny’s script to life.
COMPOSER - ELIJAH GEDULDIG
Hello, my name is Elijah Geduldig, and I’m the composer for Fond Farewell. I’m currently based in Santa Barbara, CA. I’ve been making music essentially my whole life, and recently began composing for films after being selected as a composer for the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s 10-10-10 program. I’m looking forward to creating an intimate, charming score for Fond Farewell.

1st AD - Sasha Bacharach
Hi, I’m Sasha Bacharach, the First Assistant Director of Fond Farewell! I began my film journey at Santa Barbara City College, where I met some of my closest friends. I have since transferred to Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, but will take any excuse to come back to California and help out my friends with their films. I have worked as many different roles on sets, a lot of the time filling the First Assistant Director role. I am thrilled to be working on Fond Farewell with this outstanding group of people that I have missed so dearly in my time away at school. I am greatly looking forward to seeing the story and messages of Fond Farewell be translated to the screen for audiences to appreciate.

Hi, I'm Quentin Smith, the director of Fond Farewell. I'm a primarily Los Angeles and Santa Barbara based film maker who's primarily worked on student films such as GetAway, Crimson Desire, and It's You Again as a producer and unit production manager. I'm super excited to be making my directorial debut on Fond Farewell, a project that I've been helping Tristan Fleming develop with a strong team. Working on the film has been a great experience as it's allowed me to explore how relationships fall apart, especially through the lens of depression and anxiety, something that is a constant in many people's lives.
